Summer in Uganda 2019

Our 2019 Summer in Uganda was epic!

We loved our annual RURO Worship and Arts Camp where we engaged hundreds of orphans and street children, ages 2-17 years in worship, dance, art, and music. We were able to expose these amazing kids to various art forms: singing, playing instruments, creative movement, painting, photography, and more.

In addition to RURO hosting this week-long camp, we also hosted a one-day women's conference for more than 2500 widows and vulnerable women (1500 inside and another 1000 women who couldn't fit into the building. Our team made sure to minister to all 2500 women praying for them and giving each woman a small gift to say, "We see you". Spoken-word, dance, worship, and original songs were shared around our theme of "I am Loved." Our prayer is that everyone left knowing that they are loved beyond measure by their Heavenly Father. We also graduated and celebrated 45 more women from our RURO Sisterhood Program.

RURO Sisterhood

Reach Up Reach Out introduced our RURO Sisterhood Program in 2017 with 50 widows living in the slums of Tororo, Uganda.  As of today, we have sponsored over 200 vulnerable women. These beautiful women not only receive monthly financial support for 12 months but they are also enrolled in a yearlong business program that instructs them in English, math and skills to go on to create their own businesses. Women leave our program with hope, encouragement, sisterhood and more!
